Case Study
Merch, Branding, and Marketing
Team Technoblade approached me and asked me to design custom merch in celebration of Technoblade, including apparel, jewelry, keychains, pins, and more. The audience was the long-time Technoblade fans, the timeline was one year, and the possibilities were endless.
For this project, working with the Technoblade Team, I designed 8 new merch products, the collection branding and packaging, and scripted, filmed, and edited a full-length YouTube video and multiple short-form videos to promote the collection on social media.
In the end, products sold out just weeks after launch, making it one of the most successful Technoblade merch launches ever.
The Process
Sketches and drafts were shared with the Technoblade Team, and I made adjustments according to feedback, leading to the finished designs. Product MOQs were in the hundreds, and every decision was made with care leading up to manufacturing.
The Marketing
By combining the Winterstar Art brand and the Technoblade brand, I created a logo, color palette, repeating pattern, and font library to use for packaging and promotional materials.
The marketing was a collaborative effort with Team Technoblade, where they utilized graphics and photos I created I for their email list and social media pages, and I created a YouTube video, short-form videos, and static posts.
With our marketing efforts combined, the campaign was so successful that products sold out in a matter of weeks, and restock orders were in progress just a few months after.
